Welcome to Harrow Council's Consultation Portal which has been set up to allow on-line consultation for planning documents linked to the Local Development Framework (LDF). We encourage you to view planning consultation documents and comment on them on-line.
All consultation documents available (open) for you to comment on are listed below and in the table at the bottom of this page. Please note the Council is now consulting on two supplementary planning policy documents and invites your comments, from 16 October to 13 November 2008, on the following documents:
- Draft Accessible Homes SPD (Revised)
- Draft Sustainable Housing Design SPD
- Initial draft character appraisals and management strategies for Moss Lane, East End Farm and West Towers (all of which will be incorporated within the Pinner Conservation Area SPD and formally consulted on later in 2009)

Core Strategy Consultation
The Council is currently preparing the Core Strategy development plan document. Consultation on the Core Strategy Draft Preferred Options (from 6 June to 25 July 2008) has now closed. The Council will be revising the document and re consult in 2009. We thank all of you that took the time to respond to our consultation on this document and look forward to your involvement in future consultation events.
Please Note:
- All consultation documents are interactive and once you have registered you can submit comments online. However, you do not need to register to view all the documents.
- Once registered, the Council will send you an email alert in connection with future consultations and how you can get involved.
- Text which has been deleted from planning documents is shown as
strikeout, with new text underlined.
How to Register
You must be registered or logged on to participate in all consultation events. To register, click on the 'Register' link within the 'Login' section on the left-hand side of the screen.
PLEASE NOTE: Ensure that you supply a correct and active email address when signing up. After finishing the registration process you will be sent an activation email. In order to activate your account you will need to click on the link within that email. The username and password you have provided will not work until this is done.
Once registered, you will be able to view and comment on the proposed wording of planning documents open for consultation.
Hard copies of all planning documents will be available for viewing at all local libraries and in the planning reception at the Civic Centre. Additionally, you can download all consultation documents in pdf format from the relevant section of this portal.
